As we know, everyone, especially the poor, are feeling the effects of a poor economy. Our Churches are always ready to reach out to the needy even when they feel the need themselves. As in the last few years, there will be a WALK FOR HUNGER to help the needy. There will be a five-mile Walk for Hunger on May 31, 2008. The walk will begin from St. John’s Gym on Chestnut St., Clinton. Registration will begin at 9 A.M. There will be a warm-up period and the walk will begin at 10 A.M. Registration forms may be picked up at The ITEM office and from the various stores on High Street in Clinton, and in the towns served by the sponsors: Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, clinton, Lancaster and Sterling.
